Rally of Perlis C 2017 Finale
1 DECEMBER 2017

Its another long trip up north for the Round 4 of Malaysian Rally Championship which is expected to take place on the 16 to the 17 of December. A sudden shift of venue from the state of Melaka which was cancelled due to technical problems. The state of Perlis known as the home event for the Malaysian Rally Championship is a popular event for everyone in the championship.

The Rally of Perlis in December is expected to draw a huge number of competitors as it is a compulsory event for competitors fighting for the championship to score maximum points as stated in the regulations. To qualify for the championship each competitors are required to compete in 3 of the 4 rounds including the final round.

Perlis is a safe rally for competitors to push their rally cars to the max as the dangers of crashing into huge trees and getting bogged into huge ditches is unlikely if compared to the stages in Johor and Perak.

Drivers in the 4WD, 2WD, novice, juniors will be decided here. In the 4WD class, Chepot leads, Mohd Rafiq and Hj Suhaimi for the win. Even though Mohd Rafiq could be favorites to win with his newer Subaru Impreza, Chepot will be going flat out to ensure the 2017 4WD will be his.

And interesting duel is expected in the 2WD class as two cars in two different categories is only separated by just 5 points. Mohd Henzee Hamzah (P10 for 1.6 cars) and rally novice Muhammad Khairul Nizam (P9 for 1.3) will ensure every ounce of their cars performance will translate to pure spee. On paper, Khairul Nizam has a better chance of securing the title as he has won all the rally he entered to date. This is a duel worth watching.

In the junior class, 6 points is all that separates local boy Azrul Azhar and Novice Muhammad Hashrul Jamaluddin. A heavy crash in Johor dented Azrul pride somewhat while Hashrul drove consistently all year ensuring maximum points from every round. In the novice class, 4 points separate the two outstanding drivers of the 2017 season, Muhammad Khairul Nizam and Muhammad Hashrul Jamaluddin. Both finished all the rallies with the help of reliable cars and two very experienced co-drivers guiding the through the stages.

A total of 9 stage and 137 km of competitive stages with a total distance of 328 km concludes the 2017 Malaysian Rally Championship. A lot of drama and high speed action is expected on take place. Be sure not to miss it.
